Project overview:

Legacy System migration to SAP technology. Our client a Pharmaceutical Company acquired SAP (Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing) Technology to replace their existing legacy system. The main objective is to provide optimized, efficient and productive services and distribution of medical products to clients and partners. This migration will affect different countries, thus, their implementation strategy for migration is per country. The migration testing activity is a collaborative effort between Client’s testers and CheQ testers. We assigned 16 resources to do system acceptance and user acceptance testing for different SAP interfaces and reports.

Challenge:

A HUGE number of test cases were designed for SAP reports and interfaces.

Solution:

Deployed test analysts were trained with SAP technology, and the team is embedded with SAP subject -matter experts to address skills requirement and learning curve. Teams were deployed in batches, with incoming teams undergoing workshops from the vanguards. OT is forecasted. CheQ Supervisors monitor and mitigate overtime by adjusting work schedule, assigning a buddy for the testing tasks, checking tester’s health condition and streamlining all test cases and test results using HPQC ALM. They also help in managing client’s deadline and conducting effort estimate. 8 countries successfully benefited from the SAP migration project.
