Project overview:

We partnered with a major local bank to do independent testing and validation of a Mobile banking application. The application objective is to handle all the digital banking transactions of their customer accounts. Banking Client faced 3 key challenges.

Challenge:

Business Analysts conduct the existing software testing. They conduct User Acceptance testing in high-level perspective. Testing confidence was low. Test artifacts were decentralized. Project release was delayed due to defects and late endorsements for testing.

Solution:

We began by gathering test requirements. Our Test Manager collected all existing test processes to come up with a proposal to address the challenges. After careful evaluation and test framework improvements, we deployed a Test Team (Test Manager, Test Lead, a combination of senior and junior testers) who were knowledgeable in Mobile and Web App testing. Our team collaborated with the Client’s Business Analyst to improve the test coverage to INCREASE CONFIDENCE in the quality of the app. The Team overhauled the entire test suite and implemented standard test processes in managing test cases and execution. We aligned and communicated the testing SLAs to the third party developers located outside the Philippines. Downtime and defect management guidelines were also MANAGED to avoid delays. Overall, our testing team and our client partner created a new TESTING CULTURE that will support all testing requirements for ongoing and FUTURE projects.
