Load Wallet Database Migration Project

Project overview:

Load wallet database migration to a new platform Oracle EXADATA. The migration will require data validation and Load services connected to the database.

To perform all tasks, CHEQ assigned (1) Test Lead and (2) experienced Testers. All of them have taken advanced trainings on testing techniques, and received training in the client’s business processes. CHEQ also tapped (2) experienced Telco Testers to shadow the project and help the core team understand the requirements, design & execute the tests, and analyze the test results.

Challenge:

The test environment to be used is a Staging Environment. This environment is shared by other existing projects. This is a zero-incidence situation, as disruptions will have domino effect on other projects of the client.

Describe the solution:

Collaborate with users for the schedule of staging environment. (Shifting schedule) in order to avoid disruption in their existing Business-as-Usuals. A communications protocol was defined and agreed upon by the project team members, and was executed flawlessly. As a result, there was zero incident.

CHEQ testers also requested knowledge transfer for load promo setup in Staging, and closely collaborated with the Parameter team to ensure correctness of setup. All reported issues were validated, fixed and migration was completed successfully.
